*(500) DAYS OF SUMMER voice* this is not a love story. this is a story about love. it’s about identity, fearlessness, going for your dreams, finding love, finding heartbreak, recovering, and writing and performing flipping great songs with a badass attitude π€π€πΌπ€πΎπ€πΏ
this punk-rock musical, now 21 years old (she’s an adult now) has travelled beyond the world of cult classic and turned into a vital part of queer education π³οΈβπ

the event
this screening will be held at the mad squirrel tap in st. albans and is our first film of 2022! it is a belated lgbtq+ history month party but we aim to celebrate and empower the lgbtq+ community all through the year, not just in february!
we are operating a pay-what-you-can basis with a recommended ticket price of Β£5, as we try to do with all our screenings. you can read more about our accessibility goals here.
the venue has drinks (they brew amazing beer), pizza and the setting for this film is a bit more relaxed than you may have seen at previous OHFC screenings. it’s also smaller (capacity 45) so make sure you get your ticket by reserving your ticket below (Β£1 deposit). you can pay on the door using cash or card π€
the film will be shown upstairs, which is accessible either via the stairs from the main entrance on waxhouse gate, or on the flat via heritage close. there are also toilets available upstairs.
this film is in collaboration with ask for clive, and we’re very excited for more events with them this year. open house film club spaces are for everyone – we want you to feel safe, supported and seen here.
make sure to come by the pub before the trailers start to get ya drink and food and have a catch up – and no need to rush off after the film! the bar is open till 10pm x
